What is 2D design?
Is something with two dimensions, for example length and width. Designs that are printed are of two dimensions. Graphics on a computer are of two dimension because they can only display length and width. 2D is not creating the illusion of depth.
The Gorillaz is a band that uses 2D animation for their film clips.

Jarrod - great work as usual. Good to see you off to a flying start, and I love what you've done with the blog design. Did you shoot the background image yourself? You probably know, but there's an online forum of people who share photos they've taken by leaving the shutter open on a compact digital camera and throwing it up in the air. You end up with something like your light image. Is that how you got it?
ReplyDeleteNo its not mine i just found it on the default pages, But I have tried it before. Did not turn out that great. I had a look at trying to put my own image on the background but cant work out how to do it yet will keep looking.
ReplyDeleteJarrod - in your settings, make sure you are on the newest version of the profile manager (i think an earlier version is the default). When I get around to changing my background I'll buzz you & vice versa? I checked out your links - good to see the Tate get a mention and DBN are doing good work - e.g. the white pages for British Telecom - simple stuff really, but isn't it amazing how design practice can constantly find new and better ways of doing things?
