In week 3 we had to get into groups for another thinking exercise. The aim was to pick two words and write down anything that had a connection to them no matter how far out it was. The idea was to get us thinking out side the and come up with our own unique designs.
The group that i was in chose FLOWER and BOTTLE.
FLOWER: Flower: Colour, smell, shape, nature, small, big, symmetrical, sun, life, water, stalk/ leaves, nature, fresh, alive, thorns, love, death, food, bees, pollen, allergies, fun, fields, tour de france, sunflowers, sun, texture, flavour, happy, get well, congratulations.
BOTTLE: Glass, Plastic, recycle, colour, red, green, brown, clear, shape, tall, small, fat bottom thin top, content, heavy, light, coke, magnifying, coke bottle glasses, sharp, factories, pollution, rubbish, babies, music,.
A flower made out of bottles:
A bottle made up of flowers.
A field of bottles on sticks.
A bottle in the shape of a flower.
Bottle can hold flowers.
Flowers that grow from recycled bottles.
Factories make bottles so how about one that makes flowers.
A bottle that has thorns.
Flowers that are see through.
Bottles that are alive and that grow after they have been thrown away and come into contact with soil.
Flowers are given to some one you love in bunches. So how about giving the one you love a bunch of bottles. Im sure that they will be happy about that.

MY IMAGES THAT I CAME UP WITH:
The style of this image is made to look graphic and has a floral design. It is to represent the freshness of flowers and nature. The flow shows the flow of life around us. It also makes the eyes travel around the image. The media that would be used is a drawing first, then fixed on the computer and reproduced using printing. The shape would be the form of what ever it was printed on preferably recycled papers.
This would be a life like model/ sculpture. I want it to look natural and not look out of place or unreal. I came up with the idea because the tube of the Daffodil looks like a bottle so i want to replace it with a real bottle. I was thinking that because soft drink is sweet that i would have a humming bird trying to get the sweet nectar inside.
Jarrod - good clear work here and well referenced.
